Jæck The Bit (Und Sein Computer / since 2012) is the artistic alias of an individual who has been producing music with computers since 1995. A passionate user of trackers—from the classic FastTracker II (FT2) to the modern Renoise, via Fruity Loops—he creates electro-psychedelic music and video art. Having moved beyond the "Microsoft Windows" ecosystem, he now works exclusively within the open-source world, currently using Ubuntu/KxStudio/Debian on a Panasonic CF-18. In 2006, following the publication of his "manifest stub", he co-founded the Quantum Bit Netlabel with Warxx. The label completed its musical release cycle in 2017, marking the end of a defined historic period—a curated body of work representing forms of free and independent art. In the current era of artificial intelligence, Jæck The Bit dedicates himself to recreating paintings in the styles of the great masters. He defines himself as a 'Filoarso' (from the Greek philein [to love], ars [art], and sophia [wisdom]) to express his philosophy of blending artistic design with deep contemplation.
